Canadian Road Horse Association pens partnership with Equistro to support Green Roadster Classic

We are pleased to announce an agreement has been reached with Equistro to sponsor the 2018
Green Roadster Classic in the amount of $3,000, with the CRHA providing supplementary support of
$2,000 to offer total prize money of $5,000 in the Green Roadster Classic Final at the Royal in
November. There is also a letter of intent in place with Equistro to provide $5,000 in prize money
for the 2019 final. A final commitment will be announced in the coming months.

In return for this financial support, all CRHA road horse exhibitors will be asked to participate in marketing initiatives supporting the Equistro brand message. These will include having Equistro
branded brochures, signage etc. displayed at all horse shows and fairs during the 2018 show season.
There will also be opportunities to promote the Equistro/CRHA partnership at racetracks
with exhibitors and horses in attendance for post parades. Additional information will
be provided as details are finalized.

The Canadian Road Horse Association would like to acknowledge the work of Brenda McKibbin for
her diligence and support to help make this partnership a reality.

It is with extreme sadness that the CRHA acknowledges the passing of Lois Allison of Hamilton, Ontario. Lois, her late husband Harley (2008), both members of the Canadian Road Horse Hall of Fame, and son Wayne have shown horses for over 40 years in Southern Ontario and in the U.S.. Lois took great pride in both her show horses and racehorses. While she never drove or showed horses herself, Lois enjoyed participating in the Gentleman's turnout classes with Harley and the couple was hard to beat with their colour coordinated attire and impeccably polished harness. Lois never missed a horse show, including a trip to Louisville with Wayne in the summer of 2017. Even into her nineties she continued to help at fairs, cleaning harness and holding horses, always while enjoying a glass or two of wine. She was also a much appreciated sponsor of road horse classes at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair for many years. Lois's vitality and zest for life will be greatly missed. Our sympathies are extended to Wayne & Prudy, along with their children Mike & Marla.
